For Church leaders that want one process to manage campus TVs

Managing TVs with tech at your church is painful. When your church uses more than three TV screens in a building, there is a breakpoint. Different leaders manage different hardware, and all these processes create information bottlenecks, hours of prep, and many meetings. This pain is even more apparent after COVID with team members working from home and fewer volunteers.

Why Playlister? Because it's one process for your whole church, one hardware solution for all your TVs, and one way to save countless headaches. One process to unite, inform and inspire your church.

Do Sundays go perfectly?

Chief Technology Officer and Founder Kevin Smith invented Playlister while working at his church in Indiana. Kevin is part of the production team at Northview Church and is often asked to solve the complex problems. One exciting challenge came when opening a new campus. Kevin’s church had five classrooms at their new campus and installed complicated AV equipment and ProPresenter on all the TVs. Kevin saw firsthand the pain of the setup and the equipment cost and thought there had to be a better way.

How Playlister was born

Kevin built a simple Apple TV app that replaced all the complicated tech in each room with a small Apple TV. With the Apple TV app, Kevin’s church had a better solution in each room, and it cost way less to implement on all the TVs. The bonus was that the Apple TV solution took 30 seconds to train staff and volunteers on how to use it. Kevin then showed his idea to his creative partner, Grant Glas.

Made for the classroom

Grant is the CEO of Playlister and a former substitute teacher. As a building sub at a local Indiana public school, Grant went into a new grade level daily. He understood what it was like to teach a room full of 25 elementary-age kids. It’s stressful, and the curriculum and technology must work well for the day to be fun! Grant instantly saw the value teachers, volunteers, and pastors would gain from a powerful yet simple solution like Playlister. He decided to call the church down the street, and a week later, they installed Playlister. Since then, Playlister has gone to almost 6,000 chuches in three years.

Invented in a church

All of our success is because Playlister was invented at a church for the church. A solution that aims to help all church leaders. With your continued help, we know that Playlister will be used in every church worldwide by 2030.

Made for every screen in the Church

You can put it in Classrooms

Use Playlister to teach kids ministry, small groups, and other content during class time. Afterwards, switch the displays to a signage loop. Stream the service to your small group spaces and then jump right into your videos without switching apps or channels.

You can put it in Overflow / Cry rooms

Stream your service to the extra rooms in your church so that attendees don’t miss a thing. Make sure they get important messages with signage by scheduling when the stream flips into a looping signage playlist when it’s over.

You can put it in Hallway Displays

Keep a signage loop going throughout the week and switch to your service streams on a specified schedule. No human interaction is needed and no SDI cabling is required :-)
